Steve Harvey Launches Dating Website Aimed at Women

I can honestly say that I am a fan of Steve Harvey. From his radio show with Nephew Tommy, Carla and Shirley Strawberry, the movie Think Like a Man, (the first one, not the second), his talk show, to him hosting the long-running game show, Family Feud. Recently, he launched a dating website, Delightful.com, aimed at helping women navigate through the treacherous roads of dating. The problem is that his approach is always tilted in the direction of women being the problem. Let him narrate the story and women are the solitary reasons for which many are single and some desperately seeking.

Yes, Steve I am still a fan, but at this point targeting women is getting a little old. A traditional relationship takes two people. Men should be held accountable and given the tools necessary for maintaining a healthy, monogamous relationship as well. Steve’s rationale is that, “Women don’t really want to just date. They want to date with the hope that it leads to a relationship. A man doesn’t have any problem at all dating several or a wide variety of people until he finds the right one. But women, as a rule, don’t want to do that, and the reason is scientific: A lot of women have that biological clock that ticks in them.”

Coming from a man who has written a book entitled, Act Like A Lady, Think Like a Man, and is on his third wife, I’m not sold on the idea that he has it all figured out when it comes to successful relationships. Although, he and his current wife Marjorie do look quite happy in the pictures they share of themselves through social media. Recently, they shared editorially staged pictures, (see picture above on the right), of them in Paris during Fashion Week, and her reaction to him giving her a Rolls Royce for her 50th birthday. One can’t help but to speculate that perhaps he is trying to prove a point to his exes and doubters that their love story is an authentic and lasting one.

Let’s not forget that membership to the dating site is not free. Subscription prices can range from $29.99 for one month’s access to six months billed in one payment of $107.94.

Steve maybe you should just stick to being funny.
